The entrepreneurial
spirit is still alive here at the Software Business Cluster. If you're not quite
ready to become a resident company we have an Affiliate Program that is available
to those software and Internet start-ups that need some additional business
assistance.
Why start alone when you can join a network of entrepreneurs and business professionals? Our Affiliate Program is designed for early stage businesses that would like to take advantage of the SBC network and business assistance services necessary for a successful start, but are unable to move into the SBC offices. Typically, this occurs because the entrepreneur lives too far from the San Jose offices to commute, has existing office space but could benefit from the affiliate services offered at the SBC or the entrepreneur's business is in such early stage development that they are not ready for the resident program. In any case, the entrepreneur will start by joining the Affiliate Program and then, at a later time, most likely graduate to the resident incubator program.
Participation includes a listing on the SBC website, consulting services, mailbox, access to conference rooms and signage. Affiliate companies must meet the same selection criteria and use the same application process as resident companies applying to the SBC.
